SKY preview 3D TV.......
The preview roll out of SKY latest venture. After HD came 3D and SKY will be previewing this latest technology at certain venues around the UK more than ever in the up and coming 2010 sporting season.
In late January 2010 SKY made broadcasting history when then previewed Man Utd's impressive 3-1 win over Arsenal, the first match to be beamed live in full 3D.
A handful of media, industry execs and fans were treated to the first ever football match broadcast in full 3D at the Emirates Stadium and in nine secret locations dotted around the UK, all of which had been specially fitted with 3D ready television sets.
When will it be available to the public?

If you have watched any films at the cinema in 3D then you will be wondering when you can take this experience to the comfort of your home. Well the short answer is not for some time.
SKY are still tweaking and learning the technology involved in delivering 3D but the plan is to screen the 2012 olympics in 3D.

What do I need to be 3D ready?
After digital ready we had HD ready now we are talking about being 3D ready?
Technology is moving so fast and our TV viewing experiences are getting closer and closer to actual vision, which is something we have all dreamed of when we imagined TV of the future.
What will you need? The new LED TV ranges that have been on the market for 12 month will ensure that when 3D does eventually roll out you have at least entry level TV.
Just like everything else, for freeview we have the freeview receiver, for HD we have the HD receiver, 3D is no exception. The 3D ready receiver will be available in 3 different methods. Built in to TV, Freesat 3D and SKY 3D. It has been reported that all SKY's HD plus boxes are 3D ready.
