virgin media update to Nagra 3
To combat the widespread abuse of Virgin Media's pay TV channels the implementation of the updated encryption Nagra 3 is imminent. However you will only be affected if you are using a Eurovox or Starview type receiver. Virgin Media customers will be unaffected.
The roll out started in Leeds with the issue of new viewing cards. Once all the viewing cards have been distributed you can be certain that Eurovox or Starview type receivers will no longer be able to access premium TV channels for free regardless of what custom firmware is installed on the box.
What is Nagra 3

Nagra 3 is an encryption that has yet to be cracked. Contrary to some forums that suggest Nagra 3 has been cracked, it has not.
Due to Nagra 3's tight encryption method, and with no view to it being hacked in the near future, people are moving on to other technology's such as a method known as C/S.
This method is easily traceable to you home address unless researched fully.
